Microneedling with RF

RF Microneedling sounds a lot scarier than it is. It’s a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine needles and radio frequency (RF) technology to penetrate the skin’s dermis. This in turn stimulates the skin to naturally produce hyaluronic acid and collagen which creates beautiful, smooth skin and a youthful appearance. This treatment will work to improve many skin conditions including:

Our microneedling is different than the dermaroller or the dermapen that you may have seen online. Our treatment does not cause bleeding, irritation or much prolonged discomfort. Our method of microneedling uses a stamping technique that prevents any tears to the skin.

In order to see optimal results, we recommend most adults to get a series of 5 treatments. In some clients, we may recommend monthly maintenance if your skin needs it. As far as payment goes, we offer two payment options. You can either pay per treatment or purchase a package for discounted rates.

WHAT IS TOTALLY NORMAL

  • Red skin that may sting slightly right after the treatment and subside within a few hours. Some describe the feeling as sunburnt skin.
  • Redness that persists for up to three days with some patchiness of dryness.
  • Needle marks around delicate spots like your eyes, mouth, neck and hands.

DO'S & DONT'S

  • We do not recommend getting your face wet (ie. shower, face washing, sweating) right after your treatment.
  • Stopping active ingredients or retinols/retinoids 3-5 prior to your treatment.
  • Go without makeup the day and night of your treatment.
  • Always apply sunscreen to bare skin—i.e. under makeup.
  • Once your skin feels like its back to its young self—about day 3—you can go back to your regular skin care regimen.
  • You cannot begin microneedling right after you’ve had an invasive treatment to your face.

The only ways to get collagen back into your skin is through collagen induction therapies like microneedling, or using retinol in your home care, which works too, but takes much longer. FAQ

Side effects vary by client. Some side effects include redness, puffiness, irritation and flaking.

There is very little down time, but this does vary upon client. Your skin will feel mildly sunburnt for about 24 hours after the treatment. Your skin may start to flake after a day as the skin cells fall off. After a week or so, you will begin to see newer, brighter, smoother skin. 

We recommend a series of 5 treatments to see results. Afterwards, we recommend a maintenance plan or potentially restarting the series. This will vary depending on the condition of your skin, the result from the series and your skin type. This will be discussed with your aesthetician. We also recommend pairing this treatment with our Tripollar skin tightening to see even better results.

We use VoluDerm. A cutting-edge microneedling RF technology. VoluDerm has been clinically proven to reduce the signs of aging and rejuvenate the skin.  

Pain varies by client. We have numbing cream that we can apply prior to help with pain.
